On July 26, New Braunfels Police Department arrested an off-duty Hays County Sheriff's Deputy, according to a release from the Hays County Sheriff's Office.

Rodrigo D. Deleon was charged with driving while intoxicated, a Class B Misdemeanor.

The Hays County Sheriff's Office of Professional Responsibility is conducting an internal administrative investigation, which will be conducted at the same time as the criminal investigation, the release stated.
