Former NBA champion J.R. Smith was arrested in Royse City, Texas on a family violence assault charge.

Two-time NBA champion J.R. Smith is in the Hunt County Detention Center charged with family violence assault, jail records show.
Smith, whose full name is Earl Joseph Smith, was booked into jail on Monday.
