Jeep owners warned of vehicle thefts in Brownsville

The Brownsville Police Department warns of increased thefts of newer Jeep Gladiators and Wranglers, urging owners to use anti-theft devices.

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) - The Brownsville Police Department is issuing an alert after seeing an increase in Jeep thefts.

The department says thefts are increasing for newer-model Jeep Gladiators and Jeep Wranglers.

Police advise Jeep owners to take extra precautions, such as using visible anti-theft devices like steering wheel clubs or installing kill switches.
