HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Personnel records obtained by ABC13 show a former Harris County sheriff's deputy was fired earlier this year after a woman accused him of sexually assaulting her while he was responding to a call for help.

The records concern former deputy Dohnya Dozier, who was arrested weeks ago and charged in a separate case with attempted sexual assault and official oppression.

According to the personnel file, the investigation that led to Dozier's termination began with allegations Avery Daniel made after an incident on Nov. 18, 2025. "Nov. 18, 2025, I was sexually assaulted by an on-duty officer of Harris County," Daniel told ABC 13 in a previous interview.
