CONROE, Texas (KTRK) -- Conroe City Council voted against a proposal to put Flock cameras on the November ballot for voters to decide whether the city should keep using them.

Under the proposed ballot language, voters would have decided whether the city should stop participating in and using an automatic license plate recognition system.

Ultimately, the Conroe City Council voted 3-2 against the proposal on Thursday.
