AUSTIN, Texas (KLTV) -The Texas Senate Committee on Water, Agriculture, and Rural Affairs heard testimony about water usage in data centers during a seven-hour hearing in Austin on Tuesday.
"If we want to be the leader in the world, we have a responsibility to provide infrastructure that supports that with as least expense to the meter and the consumer involved," said state Sen. Charles Perry (R-Lubbock).
The hearing comes before the next legislative session where lawmakers could look at bills regulating data center development.
