The Lakehills Area Library will feature the work of two local artists during October: acrylic painter Shirley Grohman and metalwork artist Cody Vera.

Grohman embraced her love of painting after a 33-year career in project management with AT&T. Her passion for art eventually inspired her to share what she describes as "accessible creativity" with others.

Grohman began painting in 2014 after discovering a renewed interest in art.
