EDWARDS COUNTY, Texas - Devil's Sinkhole State Natural Area is expanding by 1,200 acres, a move that will grow the site to more than 3,000 acres and open the door for more outdoor recreation in the Hill Country.
The newly added land will help reunite part of the historic Whitworth Ranch, preserving more of the area's landscape and history.
The expansion is expected to eventually bring about 10 miles of trails for hikers, birders and stargazers.
