A teenager was shot overnight while walking home from the store on the Southwest Side, according to San Antonio police.

The shooting happened just before 1 a.m. Tuesday at Bynum and Briggs avenues, not far from Southwest Military Drive and New Laredo Highway.

According to SAPD, the teen was walking home when a blue truck pulled up near him and opened fire, striking the teen once in the leg.
