WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Students at Texas State Technical College traded the classroom for the pole yard during the school's annual Lineman Rodeo, where the next generation of electrical workers showcased the skills, they will use to power communities across Central Texas.

Teams raced against the clock, climbing poles, installing equipment and completing power line repairs with speed, precision and safety.

"Anything is possible" Daniel Torres, a student at TSTC's Electrical and Technology Program, said the competition was a step closer to a career helping keep communities powered.
