Center Point entered the Class 2A Division II volleyball playoffs as the third-place team from District 29-2A and faced off in bi-district Tuesday against District 30-2A co-champion La Pryor, where the Lady Pirates performed at their own elite level in taking down the Lady Bulldogs 25-21, 25-13, 25-19 at Highlands High School.

"We came to win, not to survive. That made the difference. We didn't allow our errors to determine our mindset," coach Lovey Ortiz said.

It was Center Point's first playoff appearance since 2022, and the first postseason win for the Lady Pirates since 2018.
