Surrounded by family, neighbors and community advocates, a new mural was unveiled in Houston's East End to honor Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, three months after he was fatally shot by a federal immigration agent.
The memorial wall in Magnolia Park serves as both a neighborhood tribute and a permanent reminder of the family's ongoing demand for accountability.
Salgado Araujo was killed on July 7 during an Immigration and Customs Enforcement operation in which federal officials later acknowledged he was not the intended target.
