Texas SNAP recipients affected by Tropical Storm Edouard have additional time to request replacement benefits for food that was lost or destroyed because of the storm.
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission said the U.S. Department of Agriculture approved extending the reporting period from 10 days to 20 days in Angelina, Galveston, Hardin, Houston, Jasper, Jefferson, Liberty, Montgomery, Nacogdoches, Orange, Polk, Sabine, San Jacinto, Shelby, Trinity and Tyler counties.
Recipients must apply by Sept. 21, 2026.
