Cities across Atascosa County saw increases in their August sales tax payments compared with the same period last year, while the county's payment declined, according to figures from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.

Pleasanton received the largest payment among the five cities listed, with a net payment of $698,079, up 20. 55% from $579,060 during the comparable period last year.

Pleasanton's year-to-date payments reached $4. 22 million, a 0. 65% increase from $4. 20 million last year.
