(KGNS) - An upcoming symposium is bringing together leaders from across North America to discuss logistics, manufacturing and economic development, given Laredo's role in trade and commerce between the U.S. and Mexico.

The theme for this year's Pathways for Trade, North American Logistics and Manufacturing Symposium is "Connecting the Americas, Infrastructure, Industry and Innovation."David Stedman, president and CEO of the Laredo Development Foundation, discussed the event.

Stedman said his staff has coordinated to bring together speakers from across the country."There's a lot of uncertainty about trade right now with the Made in America policy and the tariffs and things like that," Stedman said.
