HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) - A woman is dead and a man is in critical condition following what investigators believe was a murder-suicide in West Harris County, according to Harris County Sheriff's Office Homicide Sgt. Michael Ritchie.

Ritchie said Precinct 5 Constable's deputies, who patrol the neighborhood under contract, responded to an in-progress call in the 7400 block of Sunlit Harbor a little after 11 a.m. after a neighbor driving by noticed two adults down in the street - one on the sidewalk and one in the road.

EMS and deputies performed lifesaving measures on both, and the two were transported to hospitals.
