NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - Stephen F. Austin State University kicked off its homecoming celebration with a parade through downtown Nacogdoches, drawing alumni and community members together to mark annual traditions.
The event featured the SFA Marching Band alongside university supporters who gathered to celebrate school spirit.
Vincent Adams, who graduated in 1988 and now lives in Fort Worth, said he returns to Nacogdoches each homecoming season to watch the parade and reflect on his college years."Just to come home and rekindle and see old friends and make new ones and celebrate the Lumberjacks," Adams said.
