Texas Tech University will hold a Purple Heart Day flag-raising ceremony and three-volley salute on August 7 at 9 a.m. at Memorial Circle to honor local Purple Heart recipients.

LUBBOCK, Texas -- Texas Tech University will recognize Purple Heart Day, Friday, August 7, with a flag-raising ceremony and a three-volley salute.

The ceremony will take place at 9 a.m. at Memorial Circle.
