Rice University's Baker Institute released a survey comparing employee compensation across Texas' largest cities including Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, and San Antonio.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Rice University's Baker Institute for Public Policy took a deep dive into the compensation city employees earn in Texas' largest cities.
The survey looked at personnel costs for all employees, including the police department, along with fire departments in Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Houston.
The survey is based on the most recent budget data from each city, according to the Baker Institute.
