JASPER, Texas (KTRE) - American building materials manufacturer Louisiana-Pacific Corporation plans to cut 150 jobs next month as it reduces oriented strand board production at its Jasper plant, according to the company and a notice from the Texas Workforce Commission.

The company, also known as LP Building Solutions, filed the notice Sept. 1 in compliance with the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN Act).

The WARN Act is a federal labor law requiring businesses to provide 60 calendar days' advance written notice before plant closures or mass layoffs.
