LEVELLAND, Texas - Residents and repair crews were assessing widespread damage Wednesday after a severe storm swept through the Levelland area Tuesday evening.

The storm developed in northern Hockley County, where a tornado warning was issued.

As the system moved south, it brought large hail and strong winds across the region west of Lubbock.
