(KGNS) - A large-scale water pipe replacement project is underway across Laredo, but the work has left some streets with uneven pavement and patchy asphalt, prompting city officials to discuss repaving options.
More than 42,000 feet of water pipes - some 40 to 60 years old - have been replaced in Phase 1 of the project, according to Enrique Rangel, engineering manager for the Laredo Utilities Department.
