LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - A thousand American flags now stand at Huneke Park, representing the roughly 3,000 men and women who died in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
Lubbock's first responders worked with Prosperity Bank to place the flags near 82nd Street and Nashville Avenue Thursday morning.
The display gives the community a chance to reflect on the attacks, the victims and the first responders who died that day.
