A man in his 20s died early Sunday after stepping out of a moving pickup truck on the Gulf Freeway, according to Houston police.

The incident happened at about 2:30 a.m. on northbound IH-45 near Scarsdale Boulevard.

Police said three people were traveling home in the truck after leaving a Whiskey River nightclub.
