A woman died after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Westheimer Road in west Houston late Saturday night, according to the Houston Police Department.

The crash happened around 11:51 p.m. near the 12900 block of Westheimer Road.

Investigators said a group of women was crossing the roadway to reach a nearby club.
