A man linked to three shootings across the Houston area was found dead inside a vehicle Friday after a police standoff on Houston's north side, according to the Houston Police Department.

The standoff unfolded near the 5000 block of Cochran Street, where HPD led the response with help from Pasadena police.

Police said the shooting spree began around 6 a.m. in Pasadena, where the suspect allegedly shot his wife.
