NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - The City of Nacogdoches has requested hotel occupancy tax funds to hire a part-time staff member for its historic sites division.
Hotel occupancy tax revenue is used to promote tourism and the hotel industry.
The city has collected a little over a million dollars in that revenue since 2023.
