TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Two Smith County brothers were sentenced following a 2025 robbery where the two used fake money to purchase items off Facebook Marketplace and pointed a firearm at the victim.

According to arrest warrants executed in February and March, Antonio Cantu Castaneda, 20, and Jose Guadalupe Cantu Castaneda Jr., 22, met a man on Aug. 8, 2025, in the parking lot of a business in the 900 block of South Vine Avenue in Tyler to purchase some clothes and a pair of shoes.

The two brothers were given the items and gave the victim fake money, according to the affidavits.
