Hot car deaths: What to do if you see a child or pet trapped inside

(KXII) - Thirty-seven children die each year from being left in a hot car, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Landon Lindsey, deputy fire marshal with Denison Fire, said temperatures inside a parked vehicle can become dangerous within minutes.

How fast cars heat up"When the car is sitting there in 100 degree weather with the windows up and no AC going it can get up to 120 degrees in there quick," Lindsey said.
