In celebration of its 90th Anniversary, the Fredericksburg Music Club - founded in 1937 - will present a special performance by the 17th Annual Van Cliburn International Piano Competition Gold Medalist to open its 2026-2027 season at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, in the sanctuary of Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, 1800 North Llano.

Featured will be 29-year-old Aristo Sham of Hong Kong who was awarded both The Cliburn's Gold Medal (along with the competition's Audience Award as determined by more than 9,000 public votes) at the conclusion of the contest's most recent edition in 2025 which is hosted in Ft.

Worth by the Van Cliburn Foundation every four years since its beginning in1962.
