A recent stabbing involving a man experiencing homelessness is highlighting the safety challenges people living unsheltered can face in San Antonio.

The San Antonio Police Department said the 35-year-old man was stabbed multiple times Wednesday near Jackson Keller Road and Vance Jackson Road.

The stabbing is also raising questions about how people living on the streets can protect themselves when they may not have a secure place to sleep or escape from danger.
