LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - A Brazoria County man has been arrested following a high-speed chase that ended with a crash in Lufkin Sunday night.

According to jail records, Randale Maynard, 54, was arrested and charged with assault on a peace officer, assault causing bodily injury, resisting arrest, reckless driving, evading arrest and more following the pursuit.

According to a release from the Lufkin Police Department, the pursuit began around 10:15 p.m. Sunday after Diboll police officers attempted to stop Maynard on the Diboll bypass for going 90 mph in a 70 mph zone.
