After a long budget season, Fredericksburg City Council officially approved an $81. 2 million budget for 2026-2027 in a 3-2 vote.

Council members adopted a tax rate of 24. 43 cents per $100, which is a 1. 24% increase from the no-new-revenue rate.

The approved tax rate is just enough to leave the city's general fund balanced at $27. 2 million.
