CAMERON, Texas (KBTX) - The owner of a Milam County animal rescue has been arrested on an animal cruelty charge after 82 dogs were surrendered and the facility was shut down.
Angela Sera, 69, owner and operator of Dogtown Ranch and Sanctuary outside Rockdale, was arrested Oct. 6 on a warrant charging her with cruelty to non-livestock animals, a Class A misdemeanor, the Milam County Sheriff's Office said.
The Milam County Sheriff's Office on October 6th, 2026 served an arrest warrant against 69-year-old Angela Sera on a single charge of Cruelty to Non-Livestock Animals, a class A misdemeanor.(KBTX)The arrest followed a weeklong effort involving the sheriff's office and Brandywine Valley SPCA.
