WACO, Texas (KWTX) - The nine-member McLennan County Board of Judges appointed Waco attorney Will Hutson Wednesday to replace the retiring Virgil Bain as associate criminal judge.

The judges chose the 60-year-old Hutson over three other applicants and announced their appointment Wednesday afternoon."I am very excited and happy to accept the position and I look forward to serving McLennan County in this role," Hutson said.

Hutson has worked as managing assistant attorney general for the Waco child support division for the past 14 months.
