I, like millions of others, grew up with Dolly Parton.

I actually saw her and Kenny Rogers - the roasted chicken guy - sing their smash hit duet together, Islands in the Stream, back in the mid-eighties at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in the Houston Astrodome.

I liked her music, but I would not say I loved it, but without question one can't help but love the person Dolly Parton was.
