ATHENS, Texas (KLTV) - A boil water notice has been lifted in Athens Tuesday, a day after a major water leak cancelled school and impacted residents.
According to the City of Athens, the boil water notice was lifted after water samples were tested and came back clear for harmful microbes.
On Monday, Athens officials said the 12-inch water break happened near Loop 7 and Flat Creek Road.
