A unique dining event involving student chefs, a worthy cause and culinary delights dished up dollars for a local nonprofit that provides widespread community support.

Billed as Table on Talbot, the experience - which also honored Taylor's 150th birthday - recently resulted in a check for $6,000 going to the Greater Taylor Community Foundation.

The event was led by Doug Moss, with hosting and organizational leadership provided by Talbot Commons Pocket Hotel in downtown Taylor and City Post Chophouse in downtown Georgetown.
