Gov. Greg Abbott declared a state of disaster for Webb and Zapata counties after severe storms brought heavy rainfall, flash flooding, hazardous wind gusts, large hail and tornado threats to the region.

(KGNS) - Gov. Greg Abbott declared a state of disaster for Webb and Zapata counties after severe storms brought heavy rainfall, flash flooding, hazardous wind gusts, large hail and tornado threats to the region.
The declaration, signed June 15, includes 101 Texas counties affected by the severe weather event that began June 14."Texas is prepared to respond to the severe weather threats that continue to move across our state," Abbott said.
