MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - A father has been charged with capital murder after Midland police said his 2-year-old daughter was found unresponsive inside a locked vehicle and later died.

According to the Midland Police Department, officers were called Sunday at 7:56 p.m. to a report of an unresponsive child locked inside a vehicle.

Investigators said officers identified the child's father as Lorenzo Rodriguez.
