The Kerrville Public Works Department is notifying motorists that the traffic signal at Holdsworth and Cailloux boulevards is operating on a temporary timing sequence because of a malfunction with its vehicle detection and monitoring system.

Under the temporary timing mode, the traffic signal operates on a set sequence rather than detecting vehicles and adjusting signal timing based on traffic conditions.

Motorists may notice the signal cycling through red and green lights even when no vehicles are present on the intersecting roadway.
