LAREDO, Tex.
(KGNS) - Unions representing Laredo police officers and firefighters appeared before a special city council meeting Friday, Aug. 14, warning that stalled contract negotiations could drive officers and firefighters out of the department.
Sgt. Heriberto Avalos, president of the Laredo Police Officers Association, said the situation is already affecting staffing.
