NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - The City of Nacogdoches is launching a utility audit in partnership with Water Company of America to determine whether commercial and residential customers are being billed correctly for water service.

Mike Neu, the city's executive director of development and infrastructure, said the goal of the audit is to ensure billing accuracy on both ends."To make sure that we are not only capturing the right revenue but also not mistaking costs and hurting our taxpayers in the process," Neu said.

The audit will begin with a several-month preparation period on the city's side before the firm becomes involved.
