Center Point gave District 14-2A Division II football leader Junction fits at times, but the Eagles found enough firepower to eventually soar past the Pirates 47-7 Friday, handing Center Point its fifth straight loss since beginning the year 2-0.

The Pirates, 0-4 in district, were behind 12-0 with less than half of the first quarter gone when the Eagles scored at the 9:20 and 6:49 marks.

Junction's first TD came at the end of a 32-yard drive set up by a good opening kickoff return when Koda Bierschwale plunged over from the 3-yard line.
