Kimisha Denise Mathis, 41, pleaded guilty to murder Wednesday in Waco's 19th State District Court in exchange for a recommendation from the McLennan County District Attorney's Office that Judge Thomas West sentence her to 20 years in prison.

Mathis must serve at least 10 years in prison before she can seek parole.
