GALVESTON, Texas (KBTX) - A massive 30-day multi-agency law enforcement crackdown has taken hundreds of dangerous criminals off the streets of Southeast Texas.
The U.S. Marshals Service announced the successful conclusion of "Operation Washout - Texas Tide," which resulted in 465 arrests and cleared 595 outstanding warrants across Galveston, Brazoria, Chambers, and surrounding counties.source:(U.S. Marshals Service)The month-long operation, which ran from July 29 through August 28, 2026, targeted violent felony offenders, known gang members, and individuals wanted for firearm and narcotics offenses.
