AUSTIN, Texas (KFDA) - Big changes are coming to Texas high school sports.

The University Interscholastic League Legislative Council met Sunday and Monday in Austin to vote on proposed rule changes, and several major athletics proposals got the green light.

Home-Field Advantage for Round 1 Beginning with the 2027-28 school year, teams in all conferences across all team sports will get home field advantage for the first round of the playoffs.
