1 hospitalized after two-vehicle collision in Tyler

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Police directed traffic after a major traffic collision in Tyler, involving two vehicles and sending one person to a local hospital, according to the Tyler Police Department. [KLTV Channel 7 News]
A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Spur 364 and South Southwest Loop 323 in Tyler brought traffic disruptions and left one person requiring medical attention Tuesday.
Tyler Police Department officers manually controlled traffic at the busy intersection after the collision, which struck a traffic signal support structure with enough force to topple it across the roadway. The impact rendered the traffic control system inoperable at that location.
One occupant of the vehicles involved sustained injuries deemed non-life-threatening and received transport to a local hospital for treatment, according to police spokesperson Robert Main.
The downed signal pole forced authorities to shut down multiple southbound lanes along Loop 323 as repair crews assessed and worked to restore the damaged traffic equipment. The closure remained in effect for several hours as workers completed their repairs.
Main said police coordinated traffic movement through the area during the extended closure while utility and maintenance personnel addressed the infrastructure damage.
