Woman, man killed in shooting in north Harris County, suspect fled the scene, HCSO says

Harris County Sheriff's Office investigators are searching for whoever opened fire on two people Sunday morning in the northern section of the county, leaving both victims dead.
Deputies arrived at a residence in the 200 block of W. Canino Road shortly before 11 a.m. after receiving reports of gunfire, according to law enforcement authorities. Officers discovered two adults suffering from gunshot wounds at the scene.
The victims were identified as a teenage female and a man in his late 20s, both of whom were pronounced dead at the location. The identities of the deceased have not been released pending notification of family members.
The shooter or shooters departed the area before law enforcement personnel arrived on scene, authorities said. Sheriff's officials provided no immediate description of any suspects or vehicles involved in the incident.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office has assigned homicide detectives to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting.
