The Texas Education Agency recently released this year's "A-F Accountability Ratings" for public schools, and most of the schools in Central Texas received grades and ratings that are higher than last year.

The A-F Accountability System was established in 2017 by the 85th Texas Legislature.

According to the TEA website, the goal of the system is "to provide clear and consistent information on how schools are performing in three key areas: Student Achievement, School Progress and Closing the Gaps." The system covers 1,202 School Districts, and 9,105 individual school campuses.
